Papa Wes, born and raised in Broward County, Florida, a rising artist with tons of energy and confidence boosting music despite his nonchalant swagger he displays as a result of being numb to the difficulties of life. After releasing his latest mixtape, “Quarter Of A Century” PW continues to make his own lane throughout the music industry, straying away from the negative energy that some rappers carry with them. Staying true to himself with every bar and every melody you can feel it run through your veins.

Music has always been a vital part of PW’s life. His parents put him into piano lessons as a kid then gravitated to learning other instruments such as the guitar, drums, and flute. He just never knew how to express his love for music vocally. A quiet reserved individual with not much to say. In July 2019, after the death of his uncle and grandpa within a week of each other and his mother in the hospital with her 3rd stroke, PW needed a different way to express his emotions. With the fuel of his pain and lack of being able to speak his problems he ran to music. Being around his cousin Gotti777 in the studio he began to fall in love with the process.

Since then he made a name for himself in the rap scene. From 2021, Releasing 3 Mixtapes and 1 EP, with each project showing the growth of his mentality and how he developed his own sound. Through the business side of music, PW took things to another level early in his career with creating his own label "Humble Yourself Productions" with a lineup of versatile artists such as, Omhjayflex, Lbkjay, Designer Woods, Kato327, and the one in command, Papa Wes. Hit Songs such as 'Shake Back', featuring his cousin Gott777, and "Big Dawg", featuring HYP's own Designer Woods. Papa Wes can also make hits by himself with the single "Booted Up" being his #1 song on Apple Music. That song alone brings out that hype on the edge type energy from the beginning to the end. When asked about the energy behind the song, Papa Wes describes the feeling of ruthless aggression. With lightyears of knowledge and opportunities ahead in the future, PW will continue to find different avenues to showcase his pureness and multitalented abilities.
